The J-200 EC Studio Parlor reimagines the historic J-200 Jumbo as a smaller ‘coupe’-sized acoustic/electric made easy for traveling. Featuring a Solid Spruce top, Grover Mini-Rotomatic machine heads, and a Fishman Sonitone and Sonicore pickup system that reproduces your instrument’s true acoustic tone when plugged into an acoustic amp or PA system.
A Coupe Sized “Jumbo 200”
The EJ-200 Coupe is a smaller-body version of the legendary Jumbo 200, also known as the “King of the Flat Tops.” The Jumbo 200 was first released in 1937 and has inspired generations of players for its distinctive look and powerful sound including Tom Petty, the Everly Brothers, Emmylou Harris, George Harrison, and Bob Dylan.
Solid Spruce Top
The J-200 EC Studio Parlor has a Solid Spruce top with an elegant cutaway and is available in Vintage Natural, Vintage Sunburst, or Wine Red finish. The top is made from Select Ovangkol and has a tortoise-style pickguard with 5-ply black and white binding on the top and white binding on the back. The Hard Maple neck has a Walnut Center Stinger with a Rounded SlimTaper C-profile neck, a Pau Ferro fingerboard with “Dot” inlays, and a Jumbo Crown inlay on the 12th Fret. The neck has 20 frets, a 24.75 scale length, a 1.69” bone nut, and an adjustable truss rod. The J-200 EC Studio Parlor also has a Pau Ferro bridge and a compensated bone saddle.
Solid Epiphone Hardware
The J-200 EC Studio Parlor comes with nickel hardware and Grove Mini-Rotomatic machine heads with an 18:1 turning ratio. A hard case is available through Authorized Epiphone Dealers.
