These guitars are true to their vintage roots, and authentic all the way to the core. Unlike other modern smaller-bodied acoustics, the Delta 00's quarter-sawn, hand-sanded scalloped bracing is shifted back (away from the sound hole), staying true to the traditional designs of the time. The result is a slightly compressed throwback tone, but with modern output & projection that lends itself well to both fingerpicking and flatpicking, in standard or alternate tunings. It's got all the snort & grit you'd expect from an old guitar this size, but with better tonal balance. The brilliant high-gloss finish really shows off the beauty of the mahogany back & sides. The LR Baggs Element pickup with Element VTC guarantees every nuance of your acoustic tone makes it through to the PA or onto your plugged-in recordings.
