Overview
The Radial ProRMP, a transformer coupled reamping device that allows a prerecorded line level signal to drive a guitar amplifier and pedal effects by properly matching impedance and allowing the user to determine the appropriate level. For years, due to the high costs associated with multitrack recorders, the creative process known as reamping has been the sole domain of high-end studios. But with today's proliferation of affordable digital recorders, now everyone can enjoy the benefits of this essential recording technique. With the introduction of the Radial ProRMP affordability just got one step better! The Radial ProRMP follows the design of the original Reamp(R) and features a 100% passive design with variable input level. To use, all you do is connect the line level output from a digital recorder to the ProRMP, adjust the volume to suit and presto -- you are set! Reamping is the single most effective way to get great guitar sounds in the studio as it allows pre-recorded guitar tracks to be sent to the guitar amplifier and pedals to allow unlimited repetition as room microphones are moved and tones adjusted. This same recording trick was used by bands like the Beatles and Steely Dan to get their highly defined and unique tones. The Radial ProRMP is housed in a compact 14 gauge welded steel enclosure with Radial's trademark bookend design. This provides a protective zone around switches and connectors for greater long term durability. The welded I beam construction forms a solid PC board bond that eliminates torque from outside stress, further increasing durability. A full bottom rubberized pad reduces slip and eliminates potential for electrical ground hazards.
