The Builder's Edition 816ce Grand Symphony from Taylor is both visually and sonically stunning with elegant features that will appeal to enthusiasts, collectors, and wood lovers alike. Master luthier and guitar designer Andy Powers took the original 2006 footprint and made some radical changes to the aesthetic look, bracing, and architecture of the guitar.
The result is a guitar that evokes a fuller voice and wider frequency dispersion that creates extended sustain and projection. Indian Rosewood is known for strong bass response and clear top end with a slightly scooped midrange. Add in the Lutz top and you get an incredibly versatile guitar that has a greater headroom and more dynamic range. Premium builder's edition appointments include silent satin finish, Soundport venetian cutaway, chamfered body and neck edge treatment, Gotoh 21:1 gold tuning machines, and Windansea mother of pearl fretboard inlays.
With the 24 7/8" scale length and light gauge strings, this gorgeous guitar is easier to fret and form chords on. For enthusiasts looking for a boutique guitar in looks and function, the 816ce will offer a unique playing experience. Ships in a deluxe hardshell case.
